SMOK Nord coils: key points

• 0.6 ohm mesh, a direct lung style coil, good up to about 25W with roughly 20W suggested
• 1.4 ohm regular coil for mouth to lung
• Fits the Nord line and a few related SMOK pens
• Boxed in fives by SMOK

What they fit

The list includes the SMOK Nord, Nord 2, Nord 50W, RPM40 (Nord pod), Fetch Mini, Alike and Vape Pen Nord 22. The Nord C pod kit is one device from this family on our store. Other SMOK coils include the RPM40 coils, the RPM 2 coils and the RPM 3 mesh coils. Make sure you buy Nord coils and not RPM coils, because they are different.

Juice and care

The 1.4 ohm coil is for nic salt at 20 to 50mg and a light draw. The 0.6 ohm mesh also sits in nic salt territory, so stay with 20 to 35mg to avoid harshness. Pick juice from the e-juice range. Let new coils soak 5 to 10 minutes, use low power first and replace the coil if it tastes burnt.

FAQ

Which Nord coil should I choose?

Take 1.4 ohm for a tight draw and 0.6 ohm if you want warmer vapour.

Is there a 0.9 ohm Nord coil?

No. If you have a 0.9 coil, it is from a different SMOK line, so check your device first.

What wattage for the 1.4 ohm?

SMOK does not publish a clear figure, so begin low and move up slowly.
